vBulletin How To: Real Name and Other Profile Fields
One of the nice things about this old network54 software (there are a few of them <img src="/images/happy.gif" height="14" width="14" alt="happy.gif">) is that in addition to a username, users also have a "Your Name" field to specify a real name. Instead of responding to slidekellyslide, I can see that I'm responding to Dan B. I've changed the vBulletin software a touch to support this feature; and I'll explain it and discuss the other profile fields below.

Once you have completed registration (which SHOULD work nicely on our new host) your next step probably will be to setup your profile.

1) The easiest way to edit your profile details is to find the button on the NavBar (the blue bar with navigation links at the top of every page) that says "Quick Links" and click it to expand this menu:

2) From the menu, click the link to "Edit Your Details."

3) That will bring you to a page where you can specify details about yourself including your web page (if you have one), which will be visible when people view your profile. At the bottom of the page is the following box:

Notice that one of the fields is the "Real Name" field which is what you would use to show your name with your posts, like we could do on the old software. As you can see below, if you enter a "Real Name," it shows up with your posts:

Additionally, the "Real Name" and a few other fields show up in the Member Directory:
