Doubt if it is a blank back error, it is hand cut.

Could be a "proof" - whatever a proof is.

Cool thread...one of my favorites. I remember when he got his 3,000 hit when I was a kid. I think through the Topps years Lou always had the coolest cards...this will be a fun thread to watch!

I remember that too. Of course it was against the Cubs. As I recall, he smote one up the middle and it careened off Dennis Lamp to the 3rd base area.
