Default The 3 Stooges

I saw these pictures from Moe Howard's estate and thought you might enjoy them. There are a variety of photos. The first is Shemp, Moe, and Larry with their wives. The next is a publicity photo of the guys. There are snapshots, Curly's basketball team when he's 15 (he's upper left), and there's even one where Moe got an autograph from a star.

Here are a few more that are sports related. The first two football photos are from one of their shorts, and were taken at Gilmore Field. The last group is more photos Moe or other family members got autographed and include the Mill's Brothers as well as lightweight boxer Mike Evans.

Great stuff and unless I`m mistaken, it`s been a few years, the photos from the football short are from an episode that a very young Lucille Ball appeared as a blonde.

Curly Howard - a true comedic genius lost on every female everywhere.

If ever there was a true 'guy thing' it was the Stooges!

I've never thought myself to be too sophisticated to laugh out loud...and I hope I never will.

Thanks for sharing.

MY BIG CONCERNS ABOUT AMERICA:

Internally- We spend too much time assuring our rights without learning the responsibilities that should accompany them.
Externally - No matter how much we claim to take the higher moral ground, we have neither respected nor attempted to understand other cultures.

Don't want to be a conspiracy theorist, but were Larry Fine and Jack Ruby ever seen in a room together at the same time??

I was such a dangerous hitter I even got intentional walks during batting practice.

Very cool stuff.

Noteworthy: Ted Healy at top in pic #2.

Interesting only to us: one excellent 40-something female in our immediate family
has been a lifelong fan of the Stooges -- coincidentally, mentioned again just last night
while we sat together at a granddaughter's softball game. So, possibly unique, but not non-existent...

I cropped and enlarged the photo of Curly's basketball team. He's back row on the far left. I'm not sure I would have ever guessed that was him.
