I do suggest contacting an attorney if the money involved is high enough.
I second the emotion.
That's a rough way to find out that Inequities, LV is running a little conglomerate scam, IMHO. Ya might have seen it coming what with the ridiculous back story, a terrible ugly cut and a dressed up pig? That's how they shear lamb over there. Sorry you got sheared. Wishing you all the best in your quest.

We had never bought anything like that before and completely trusted that we were getting something genuine. We are not the kind of people who spend this kind of money on a regular basis - we bought it to share with children at a school for the underprivileged. After learning that it might not be real, I began doing the kind of due diligence that the impulse purchase didn't allow. I read about how someone bought a guitar supposedly signed by the Rolling Stones at the Las Vegas store and found it was not genuine but how for a while they really enjoyed it. This was our story - we thought we had something really special. I just sent a copy of some of the comments from this thread to Antiquities to try and get our money back based on the guarantee they provide. It states "should the autograph ever be proven not to be authentic and is documented in writing by a certified handwriting expert" they will refund our money. Does anyone have any experience with this company actually refunding money and can anyone direct me towards an expert who won't cost too much?
I'm sorry you have to deal with this. It may not be easy but you've got a decent shot at getting a refund. You'll have to play hardball—and play to win.

I have a community similar to this fine place. I'll help you if you want (no cost), and I'd like to interview you about your situation if you're willing. You can email me at steve.cyrkin@autographmagazine.com.

Aliwalia,
Since you are a new member here I want to let you know that Steve Cyrkin is one of the really good guys here and I suggest you do contact him for assistance. He is very well known to hobbyists and there are other members here who can definitely vouch for him. He can help you. Good luck.
